Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are now open and can close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home that has a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house income won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any proof here of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households here with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in nsfas 2025 their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
